Electricity was often unavailable, and choosing music as a profession was considered an unconventional decision.However, instead of following a traditional career path, Bilal decided to turn his passion into his profession.

 From Engineering to Music

Muhammad Bilal Khattak earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Abasyn University, Peshawar. But alongside his engineering studies, his interest in music and audio production continued to grow.His final-year project reflected his unique combination of technology and creativity. He developed a Laser Harp MIDI Instrument, combining engineering with music.

During the day, he focused on his engineering studies, while at night he spent time in studios developing his skills in music, singing and audio production.

Leaving Engineering to Pursue His Passion

After completing his education, Bilal also worked in the engineering field. However, his passion for music and sound production eventually led him away from a conventional technical career.He made the difficult decision to leave a secure engineering career and pursue audio production full-time.For nearly six years, he worked across home studios, major television sets, live concerts and professional recording studios. With every project, he gained valuable experience and gradually established himself as a professional in the field.

Limited Opportunities in Pakistan, So He Headed to London

With limited opportunities for advanced education in music and audio production in Pakistan, Bilal decided to move abroad to further develop his skills.His next destination was London, where he completed an MA in Audio Production from the University of Westminster.For Bilal, this was more than just an academic achievement. It demonstrated that Pakistani young people can also develop world-class expertise and compete in the international creative industries.

Social Media Took His Music to the World

Alongside his education and professional experience, Bilal made extensive use of digital platforms to showcase his creativity.His music projects and songs reached millions of people through YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, with several of his tracks going viral. Social media allowed him to move beyond the limitations of traditional media and connect directly with audiences around the world.
